A great question we are frequently asked is "does magnesium make you tired?"
There's a bit of confusion on this topic because, as we know, magnesium is key for a great sleep. But magnesium in itself does not make you tired.
Magnesium is needed for hundreds of functions in the body, not just sleep! For example, if you take magnesium in the morning, magnesium will work with your body -- if you need energy, or clarity and mental focus, magnesium supports those functions. When you take magnesium at night, it works as a relaxant, helping your body to wind down and fall into a sounder sleep.
In short: magnesium doesn't make you tired; but it will work with your body when you are tired to help promote a deeper, more restorative sleep.
