Which magnesium is best for mood?

Which magnesium is best for mood?

Video Transcript:

Hello, everyone. I'm Meaghan Esser, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist with ITL Health. We received a question asking, "Which magnesium is best for mood?"

It's common for people to ask which of our magnesium products might work best for different ailments. We actually wrote a great article on this topic called "Which Form of Magnesium is Best?" You can find the link on the screen and below for easy reference.

There are various forms of magnesium, and some might help certain ailments better than others. However, the key is to use a well-absorbed magnesium. I could recommend a specific type of magnesium for a particular ailment, but if it's not well-absorbed, it won't be effective. There are many cheap forms of magnesium that don't work well because they aren't easily absorbed by the body.

We have a testimonial on our website from someone who said, "I was told to take magnesium, and it never helped my health problems until I took MAG365. It turns out I was just taking the wrong magnesium."

When it comes to forms of magnesium, we focus on a few main ones. One of them is Ionic Magnesium Citrate. "Ionic" is the key term here. It's a chemistry term that many people aren't familiar with, but you can see it fizzing in the glass. When it's done fizzing, the liquid is clear, indicating that it is in an ionic form. This means it is essentially pre-digested in the glass, so your body doesn't have to do it.

Many people ask if we can provide this in capsule form, but the answer is no. To activate ionic magnesium and make it well-absorbed, you need to add hot water. A magnesium citrate tablet or capsule won't have the same effect as the ionic powder.

For those who prefer capsules, we offer Magnesium Bisglycinate. According to our research, this is the next best well-absorbed form of magnesium. It's attached to two glycine molecules. Glycine is the smallest of the amino acids, which gets absorbed very easily, and magnesium just goes along for the ride. This form also gets absorbed in the upper part of the intestine, so it should be fine if you're worried about any tummy troubles.

If you're wondering which magnesium to take for a specific issue, visit our website to learn about the different forms of magnesium. The big takeaway is that as long as you're getting a well-absorbed form, it will help with the ailment you're addressing.

Remember, all of our supplements are guaranteed. Please check your local health food store or look at the links below to order online if you prefer. Thank you so much for listening, and thank you for your questions.
