MAG365 BF FAQ
MAG365 BF is designed to activate in water, and temperature simply affects how fast that happens:
- Hot water: activates in 30 seconds
- Warm water: activates in around 3 minutes
- Cold water: takes 20–30 minutes to fully activate
There’s less fizz with cold water, but you’ll know it’s ready when the mixture turns from cloudy to more translucent. So whether you choose hot, warm, or cold water, MAG365 BF will still work—just give it enough time to fully activate.
Most modern diets are calcium-rich and magnesium-poor, which can lead to an imbalance that affects calcium absorption and increases the risk of calcium buildup in soft tissues. Magnesium is required to keep calcium in solution and guide it into the bones, rather than the joints or arteries.
Experts like Dr. Carolyn Dean (author of The Magnesium Miracle) recommend a ratio of around 1,000 mg calcium to 600 mg magnesium, while researcher Peter Gillham advocates for a 3:2 magnesium to calcium ratio in supplementation—particularly when the diet already provides ample calcium.
Importantly, excess calcium from supplements can deplete magnesium stores, while the body typically excretes excess magnesium through the stool, making it more forgiving. However, both minerals should be taken mindfully, ideally with supportive cofactors like vitamin D3, vitamin K2, vitamin C, and potassium to aid proper absorption and function.
For those who require extra calcium, our MAG365 BF + Calcium maintains a balanced 3:2 calcium to magnesium ratio and includes the cofactors needed for optimal absorption and bone health.
Taking calcium without these cofactors may reduce its effectiveness and could contribute to unwanted calcium buildup in areas like the arteries or kidneys. That’s why proper balance and nutrient synergy are so important.
Most people get enough calcium from their diet, but it can be harder to get adequate magnesium, D3, and K2 through food alone. If you have low bone density or an existing bone health condition, we typically recommend our MAG365 BF + Calcium formula. It contains calcium in a 3:2 ratio with magnesium, along with supportive cofactors to aid proper absorption and utilization.
That said, it’s always a good idea to review your dietary intake and speak with your healthcare provider before starting or changing a supplement routine—especially for bone-related conditions.
Traditional D3 sources like cod liver oil or lanolin (from sheep’s wool) aren’t vegan, and lanolin is often processed using harsh chemicals or pesticides—something we actively avoid. Lichen, on the other hand, is a clean, ethical source of vitamin D3 that aligns with our commitment to purity and vegan values.
To prevent this, we use a double microencapsulated form of vitamin K2 (MK-7) in products like MAG365 BF, MAG365 Kids, Vitamin D Plus, and PrizMAG Plus. This protective technology helps preserve the stability and bioavailability of K2 from production through to consumption.
Without proper encapsulation, products combining K2 with magnesium or calcium may retain as little as 20% of their K2 content just one month after manufacturing. Breakdown rates vary depending on formulation and storage conditions, but stability is a critical factor when choosing a bone-support or multinutrient supplement.
Nutrients like magnesium, vitamin D3, and other cofactors found in MAG365 BF are commonly studied for their general roles in muscle function, energy metabolism, and bone health—which are important during pregnancy. For pregnancy-specific supplementation, speak with your healthcare provider to find a product that meets your needs.
MAG365 BF helps to:
- Support energy metabolism and tissue formation, which may help ease fatigue, mood fluctuations, and brain fog often associated with PMS and the hormonal shifts of perimenopause.
- Maintain proper muscle function, including the heart muscle, which may contribute to relief from cramps, tension, and restlessness during the menstrual cycle and menopause transition.
- Support the development and maintenance of bones and teeth, a critical need as estrogen declines during and after menopause, increasing the risk of bone loss.
- Aid in the absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, essential for long-term skeletal health and osteoporosis prevention.
- Support immune function, which can be helpful as immune resilience may fluctuate with age and stress levels.
- Provide electrolytes and support collagen formation for healthy skin, joints, and connective tissue—especially important as skin elasticity and joint comfort can decline with age.
In addition to its strong nutritional profile, MAG365 BF has received multiple awards for Best Women’s Health Product, and many customers report feeling more balanced and energized when using it consistently.
As with any supplement, it's always best to speak with your healthcare provider to ensure it's the right fit for your individual needs.
Since most people can get enough calcium through their diet, we focused instead on providing the cofactors your body needs to properly absorb and direct dietary calcium—such as magnesium, vitamin D3, vitamin C, potassium, and vitamin K2. These nutrients work together to support bone strength, calcium utilization, and overall mineral balance—without the risks associated with excess supplemental calcium.
MAG365 BF is ideal whether you’re already getting calcium from food or taking a separate calcium supplement—just be sure to talk to your healthcare provider to ensure your total intake is right for your needs.
Instead, we focused on providing the often-overlooked cofactors needed to help the body properly use dietary calcium. These include key nutrients like magnesium, vitamin K2, vitamin D3, potassium, and vitamin C—nutrients that are harder to get in adequate amounts through diet alone but are essential for maintaining healthy bones and proper mineral balance.
While “Bone Formula” is the official meaning, many of our customers have given it affectionate nicknames like “Best Friend,” “Best Formula,” and even “Bear Formula”—a nod to how well many customers say it supports them through various wellness challenges. While MAG365 BF is not licensed as a hormone support supplement, it has received multiple awards for Best Women’s Health Product, highlighting its popularity in that category.
For example, vitamin D3 requires magnesium for activation, and vitamin K2 is essential for guiding calcium to the bones and teeth, rather than allowing it to accumulate in soft tissues like arteries or joints. These nutrients are carefully combined to support bone health and overall mineral balance.

Vitamin K2 works synergistically with vitamin D3 by helping to direct calcium to the bones and teeth, where it's needed, and away from soft tissues like arteries and joints. While vitamin D3 enhances calcium absorption from the gut, vitamin K2 ensures that the absorbed calcium is properly utilized and doesn’t build up in the bloodstream.
Boron, another key ingredient in our MAG365 BF formula, also supports vitamin D3 metabolism by helping to extend its half-life and enhance its bioavailability.
