Can magnesium make you pee more?

Can magnesium make you pee more?

Video Transcript:

Hello, everyone. Meaghan Esser here, Registered Holistic Nutritionist with ITL Health. Today, I'm going to answer the question, can magnesium make you pee more?

And as always, it's not a very simple answer, but if you're looking for an exact answer to that question. It can make you pee more because it helps with water retention. So, if you are storing water in your body in areas that shouldn't be storing water and you take magnesium. You will pee more because it's helping your body let go of that water and the only way to get rid of that water is through your bladder. And this is actually a good thing because you don't want to have water retention in different areas.

Now on the same token, magnesium can actually help you not have to pee so often because it does help with bladder control. Magnesium supports the nerves and it support the muscles. And research shows that magnesium can help with bladder spasms that might cause you to have to pee more. And then, it also can help with helping the bladder get rid of all the water, so fully empty. So that you're not left with some still in there and then having to pee more shortly after.

So, magnesium is great for so many reasons, but if you're having any issues with water retention or bladder control, mild incontinence, any bladder spasms, magnesium is a must for you. We carry PrizMAG Magnesium Capsules and Ionic Magnesium Citrate Powder. These are both highly bioavailable forms, some of the best absorption you can get.
